Dinner with Friends | Springfield VA Photographer

Tonight, Shon and I had dinner with our friends, The Turners and The Isetts. We had such a great time and loved catching up as we rarely see them anymore.

Meet little James. He is one of the Turner's 2 HANDSOME sons. He is a ball of energy and is definitely all boy. He is quite the entertaining little guy!!

And this is Zion, their sweet puppy dog. He and Tater would probably be BFF if they saw each other enough.

The Turners have graciously allowed me to practice my photography skills on them, so next weekend, we will be taking a trip to the Cherry Blossoms in DC to get some photos of their family. I'm psyched.

I got a new lens!!!! | Northern Virginia Photographer

I got a new zoom lens in the mail yesterday, and I've been having lots of fun playing around with it. Now, this MAY seem like two boring pictures of birds, BUT here's the kicker. When I was taking these photos, I had Tater on a leash with me.

Now.
1. Birds are afraid of dogs.
2. Dogs want to eat birds.

THAT shows you just how far this new lens zooms in. I was able to get two pretty close up shots without scaring the birds away.

AWESOME.

Sweet Baby Emma | Northern Virginia Children's Photographer

Y'all, this is the happiest baby I've ever met. We had dinner with baby Emma's parents last week and really enjoyed ourselves. Emma's momma got a new camera and I am anxious to shoot around with her. Isn't Emma a pretty little girl?

The Red Ball | Northern Virginia Pet Photographer

This is Tater's favorite ball in the whole wide world. When she gets ahold of this ball at work, she squeaks it incessantly. She makes sure to slobber all over the ball and then places it in your lap in hopes that you will throw it for her. It's ok though. I didn't need clean work pants anyway.

Welcome To Katherine Klegin Photography

Hey There! Welcome to my photography blog. The thing I love about photography is that there is always something new to learn. I'm definitely still learning, but I'm having a lot of fun. I've got quite a few sessions scheduled in the next couple of weeks and am really looking forward to posting about them.
